Exceptions to this warranty
This warranty shall become void if:
McLay Boats accepts no responsibility for the following, which are excluded from this warranty.
Under this warranty the obligation of McLay Boats shall be limited to replacement or repair of any part which McLay Boats judges to be defective.
McLay Boats will not be liable for any other special or consequential damages or costs of any kind or nature.
McLay Boats reserves the right to change specifications and designs of any boat without assuming any obligation to modify any previously manufactured boats.
Nothing in the warranty limits or restricts a statutory right or remedy available to you under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
For the warranty to be valid the boat's warranty registration card must be completed and returned to McLay Boats within 14 days of the purchase date.
12 Month Paint & Clear Coat Warranty
The coatings warranty does not cover oxidization around unsealed edges & fittings (including canopy fittings) or where the surface has been broken by scratches & chips. Some oxidization is normal on Aluminium boats over time, particularly around edges & hatches etc and is only cosmetic if not caused by dissimilar metals.
Care and Maintenance
To enhance the life of your vessel a necessary maintenance practise follows;
The vessel must be rinsed both internally and externally, including side pockets and under the fuel tank, after use, with fresh water to remove salts, this preventing salt encrustation due to evaporation of sea water. If necessary, a non-etc cleaner and non – metallic scouring pad can be used to remove adherent surface grime and salt encrustation.
It is recommended that you do NOT use detergent for washing your boat. (Please refer to the Nyalic leaflet).
